Disturbing trend in forces- it all started with 6th pay commission, Chief of Army , Naval Chief, Air Force Chief coming to media to air their grievences, which were heard by the Govt., responded by the Govt. through media , then principally accepted by the Govt. & implemented, the psyche of any force is to be a law unto themselves, how to circumvent the civilian authority( see Admiral Vishnu Bhagwat case), this time also civilian control is diluted.
Even now we see Naval Chief approaching media airing nuclear threat through sea route & nuclear material can be smuggled through containers which gain significance after 26/11 in which Coast guard role is duboius, the tendancy among forces for more media attention is dangerous to democracy & should be nipped in the bud, otherwise possibility of going Pak way can not be ruled out.
